According to the Governor’s press service, Governor of South Kazakhstan Region Zhanseit Tuymebaev met with investors from Germany and Holland intending to invest into large RES projects of the Region.
“For a region with an about three million people population, this project is much welcome and efficient. 65% of electric power comes to us from outside the Region. The need of the Region’s population in summer amounts to 350 - 370 MW and in the winter 450 - 480 MW of electric power. That is why we must implement such projects. The climate in our Region ideally fits generation of solar electric power,” said Zh. Tuymebaev.
The foreign businessmen stressed that they intended to construct two solar power stations and a bitumen concrete plant in Maktaaral District marking that beneficial conditions had been made for processing of according documents by the local authorities.
According to Director General of “KADI Company” LLP Murat Davreshev, the German “NwComp Solar GmbH” which has implemented a number of projects in Kazakhstan will invest EUR 7 M into construction of the solar power stations.
Let us remind you that the power station of the 4.8 MW capacity will be constructed in the area of Zhetysay city landfill site. By today, the design estimate documentation has been developed and construction works are planned for beginning in November, this year.
