The ensemble of folk music under the municipality of Amman city was founded in 1995. The ensemble takes part in various national and international events both inside and outside Jordan. The last event, where the Jordanian national ensemble won a prestigious award was the Maurut Festival in Kuwait. The members of the ensemble, numbering up to 65 people, perform folk dances like "Jordan Dabka" accompanied by folk musical instruments such as "Rebab" and "Shebab". The troupe perforemed their art in such countries as Morocco, Lebanon, Kuwait, Italy, Indonesia, India.
