A great number of Russian cultural and business events, bright National Parade, traditional Russian snacks, songs and dances are waiting for the EXPO-2017 visitors on September 8. On this day, the Russian Federation will celebrate its National Day at the International Specialized Exhibition.
Each of the 115 EXPO-2017 participant countries celebrates its National Day; Russia will celebrate its Day two days previous the EXPO Closure thus accomplishing this heart-warming tradition.
At celebration of the National Day of Russia, the official delegation will be headed by Vice Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Arkady Dvorkovich. The delegation also includes Commissioner General of Russian Participation – Vice Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Georgy Kalamanov, Vice Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Alan Lushnikov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mikhail Bocharnikov, President of ‘Rusatom – International Network’ Aleksandr Merten, Deputy Director General of ‘Uralkali’ JSC Oleg Kalinsky and other officials and officers of the largest Russian corporations.
The Russian Federation National Day Opening Ceremony will start at midday, at the EXPO-2017 Stage of National Day and be concluded by a large scale parade. The participants will tour the whole Exhibition area with flags of Russia and the country regions accompanied by sounds of a brass orchestra of Omsk philharmonics.
On the same day, a gala concert will be given closing the Russian Regions Culture Festival. The Festival itself started on the first days of the Exhibition operation. In this period, it has been participated by art teams from various corners of the country: the Republic of Tatarstan, Samara Oblast, Chelyabinsk Oblast, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Altay, Moscow and other places.
On September 8, the Exhibition guests will have an occasion to see performances of the State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble ‘Russia’, prominent musician-trumpeter Vadim Eilenkrig, the ‘Buranovskiye Babushki’ ensemble, CoffeetimeBand vocal project, ‘Slavyane’ folk group, ‘Altai’ State Youth Song and Dance Ensemble, ‘Sibirskaya Zabava’ folk music ensemble, ‘Sladotsvet’ vocal ensemble and other performers. An interactive program, gifts and surprises are waiting for the Exhibition and Russian Pavilion visitors.
Under the celebration, the business program events are also provided for. The Russian Pavilion has become one of the most active organizers of business discussions, round tables and forums at its site during the whole period of Exhibition operation. On September 8, at the XI Eurasian Kazenergy Forum, with Russia being a partner thereof, the Program Session will be held: “Clean Energy as a Contribution into the Future”. The business event is focused on assessment of energy sector development prospects and impact thereof on the world economy. The discussion will gather the energy sector leaders. To speak, are invited: the International Awarding Committee members Rae Kwan Chung and Steven Griffiths, Remigijus Lapinskas – President of the World Bio Energy Association (WBA) and Angelina Davydova – Director of Russian – German Bureau of Environmental Information.
The discussion will be moderated by Igor Lobovsky: President of the ‘Global Energy’ Association for Development of International Research and Projects in Energy.
The Program Session ‘New Technologies and Solutions for Nuclear Sector’ will also be held partnered by the ‘Rosatom’ State Corporation; and the plenary session of the IX Eurasian Kazenergy Forum.
The official and business events will finish at 06:00 pm. The EXPO-2017 International Specialized Exhibition Closure will take place on September 10.
