Media Center / News archive / 2018 / The Nur-Alem Sphere becomes the most visited place for pupils and students

The terms of trilateral Memorandum of cooperation signed by National Company “Astana EXPO-2017”, JSC, regional akimats (administrations) and National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken” are being successfully fulfilled.

We remind that this document provided for organization of cultural and educational tours for pupils and students from the regions of Kazakhstan to the objects of International Specialized Exhibition’s Heritage. In the framework of this project more than 32 000 pupils and 6 000 students have already visited the Nur-Alem Sphere starting from the beginning of 2018.

The initial project provided for holding open lessons in Physics, Biology and other subjects for the city gymnasiums. However, soon after the first open lesson was conducted it became obvious that such lessons provoke children’s interest in natural sciences; it is easier to remember the material being presented in this interesting approach than if it is merely desribed as a theory. And presently those open lessons in the Sphere are being held not only by Astana schools but also for pupils who come from Akmolinskaya, Kostanai, North Kazakhstan and other regions.

Recently the pupils from Zhambyl region have visited the Future Energy Museum in the framework of mentioned Memorandum. The national company and teachers arranged the open lessons about “Traditions of my nation” and English language lessons in the form of mini-excursions on each floor of the Sphere.

«In the framework of our project we have mostly been impressed by the hall containing installations dedicated to the traditions of our native land. The interactive open lesson was of great interest for pupils. The children transformed their impressions into nice paintings on paper with the help of colored pencils and markers», - noted Olga Sagandykova, the Chief of Social and Cultural Programs, Regional center of school competitions and out-of-school activities.

Young artists made their paintings on each floor of the Sphere and organized an improvised art exhibition in the end of excursion on the first floor. All visitors could get acquainted with those art works of children.

The Nur Alem Sphere includes 8 levels. Each level presents the striking elements and installations of different energy types. For example, on the second level the children get acquainted with the types of water energy production, on the seventh level – with the space energy. There is a national pavilion on the first floor to present different landscapes, culture and history of Kazakhstan.
